I definitely feel a shift of Naomi in this episode, she's obviously changed an extraordinary amount over the summer or just from her relationship with Emily. I like it, though. She's still horrendously insecure and just. She knows what she did was wrong but she has someone to care about now and is beyond terrified of losing it.
Jack was indeed incredible, I loves him. He and Cook have grown exponentially. Maybe Katie/Meg'll give him a run for his money.
Blood. Blood Blood Blood. I don't know. The Obi-Wan line pretty much sold me. Space fan here. But I do like Blood. I just miss Harriet. I think if he wasn't replacing her, I'd be warmer to him.
That is a shame you had missed Naomily in the stairwell but it was super fast anyway.
Panda. Panda's just so...I wouldn't describe her as useless. But so spacey. Admittedly her entire scene with Thomas's mom was hilarious, but I don't know, I would have thought she'd be a bit...brighter by now. It's a shame if she doesn't have her own episode this series, I would have liked to see some development on her part, too.
Clearly Thomas just needs a hug. Someone hug him. God, someone hug EVERYONE. The skins cast needs a family hug. Pronto.
It's true, that took me a while to realize he was now in school too in series 2. One second he's a janitor. Next he's in school entering the class with other girls and waving to Panda. What?
Wow, now that you bring up series 2, there's a huge clash between his episode there and here. Oooh Series 4. Oh skins you will be the death of me. Quite simply.
Yeah, like brightest episode of last series turned into soomething so dark. A metaphor, perhaps? Oh me oh my.
I never really got into Harriet, Doug always stole the show in their scenes for me. Whereas Blood and Doug can (un)happily co-exist for me.
I'm glad that it's Panda's ep that's been cut, as she was the one I cared least about last series. But I'm only glad since they HAD to cut an ep - ideally I'd like this to be a 20 episode series, with two episodes for each cast member, one Everybody ep and one for wee James. If wishes were horses ...
As for Naomi, I just don't know. I get that she's changed, and really I'm glad. I want her and Emily together and for it to make some sort of sense, and that couldn't happen if Nae didn't change. It's just that it looks like such a huge CHANGE that it's a bit much. Like the fact that she's so worried about losing Emily - that's perfect, but her being so candid about it doesn't work so well. Or maybe it's just that it all came out in one highly charged scene, and if it'd had been shown over a few episodes I'd be happier with it. Whatevs, I'll deal, it's not rubbish by any means just a bit ... iffy.
