Vacant possession

We're in the process of moving house so we've given up keeping track of ins and outs, at least for the time being. It's been useful, nonetheless - thanks to mockduck for starting this community.

The tenants in the new house left in a hurry and all their possessions. I thought it might be instructive and amusing to put up photographs from inside the Read more... )

Oh my word, that really does break all the moving house etiquette rules. I would be cursing your predecessors.

I haven't posted here for months and really owe an explanatory post, but I have been putting it off because it's a bit miserable.

Did they move out, or were they abducted by aliens halfway through? Who leaves knickers in the bath, for heaven's sake, let alone any of the rest of that rubbish? Then again, if that's what they left behind, imagine what they took with!

Hello. I can't quite believe we missed all of this. And to think we were going to come round and bring you even more clutter... although most of it's edible clutter. I don't think those knickers are edible.

I will at some point have to take at the very least an enormous 360MHz pentium and monitor for recycling at either Dix Pit or Redbridge. I could arguably take any other broken electrical goods when I do so. But who this weekend was able to resist a Playstation, with free porn?

Oh, very nice. It's especially kind of them to leave you some soft porn. I once moved into a house to find vast (and I mean vast) quantities of hard core porn stashed away in the cupboards. And more issues arrived through the post pretty much every week for a year after I'd moved there.
