they say you can't get too much of a good thing, and to that i say you're goddamn right you can't.
the only thing i like as much as my favorite bands are bands that rip off my favorite bands. (see ozma, the get up kids, the impossibles or any of the other 75,000 weezer ripoff artists i listened to in my early 20s).
as such, allow me to point you in the direction of the ivy league, two dudes from brooklyn who masterfully rip off kings of convenience (who are in turn, to one degree or another, ripping off early belle & sebastian and simon & garfunkel). these dudes know how to do it right. current ripoff favorites not to be missed include (but are surely not limited to) the whitest boy alive and the ever awesome pas/cal, the latter of which has a new ep coming out next month.
