i was gonna write a big rant about how the new issue/staff/redesign of SPIN leaves much to be desired, but i can't seem to muster the will to do so. few enough people read this anyway, and how many people wanna read my ranting and raving about rock magazines? maybe levi. everybody else would probably just roll their eyes. and understandably so.
let me just say that the redesign sucks - it's now nearly indistinguishable from blender and rolling stone. the staff has largely been overhauled, with most of the best people gone. the reviews section is twice as long and half as good. it's a dud. and i just renewed my subscription for another year.
there goes (potentially) that dream of writing for SPIN. paste & pitchfork it'll have to be, i suppose...
