the marshall tucker band's "can't you see" may very well be the 2nd best classic rock song of all time. it is and has almost everything classic rock should be or have: it's too long, it's got great, slightly gruff vocals, it's a little bit country sounding, it's got a part where you think it's gonna end but then it starts up again and kicks just a bit more ass before it really does end, it's got a disticntly American feel to it, it sounds REALLY good when played REALLY loud, and it's a little bit stupid (ex: the little flute bit at the beginning and end).
for the record (and i don't care how much this is a cliche), "stairway to heaven" is the greatest classic rock song of all time, and probably just the greatest song ever. it's awesomeness exceeds that of "can't you see" solely for the reason that it is/has almost the exact opposite characteristics listed above, save that of being too long and a bit stupid.
