TeliaSonera said on Tuesday it had bought an extra stake in a company in Georgia while selling part of a wholly owned operation in Uzbekistan.

The firm, the Nordic region's biggest telecom operator, said in a statement its majority owned Fintur Holdings unit was buying an additional 14.3 percent in Georgian firm Geocell, taking its overall stake in the firm to 97.5 percent.

The Swedish company also said it completed negotiations to introduce a local partner to its Uzbek mobile operator OOO Coscom and had sold 26 percent of its 100 percent stake in the firm for $50.03 million.
