Philcon, which was my first convention and one of the world's oldest (these two facts being unrelated), has very graciously invited me to take part in some panels at this year's gathering which starts...tomorrow, actually ( Read more... )

Interesting schedule. I'm not too sure about "50 SHADES OF ALIEN GREYS" though...

I would have gone to this convention if it was not for Sandy.
My first exposure to furry fandom was at a Philcon in the late 1980's
My first Philcon was in down town Philly at a hotel that got demolished.

I think Philcon is up to three con hotels that went that way, including the Adam's Mark that Anthrocon also used.

I plan to be there although I won't make it in until 11 pm on Friday (having to leave after work from Pittsburgh). You probably don't know me at all but if this soul doesn't mind drinking with a new friend, and I gather the courage to introduce myself to said soul (I am not very outgoing), I'm sure it would be my pleasure to buy some thirsty soul a drink.

In any case, I will make it a point to attend one or more of your panels. You are an engaging and entertaining speaker.

Well, come find me after my 11 PM panel on Friday. I'll likely be going to the bar. I'm sure we can find some poor soul there.

PhilCon is one of my "must attend some day" conventions - but it won't be this year.

They have you on _four_ panels in a 24-hour span - two of them close enough to midnight? Do they have a "green room" for panelists to refresh and review notes before their wranglers cue you up for the panels?

I will be at LosCon over the Thanksgiving weekend, plan to meet up with Fred Patten and his sister there.
