Nothing Is Simple - 12/12

A cold wind whipped around the young man as he walked along the pathway. He always thought the park was very beautiful in the winter, despite its naked trees and slippery walkways. Kai stopped, sighing loudly and watching as his breath danced visibly in the air.

“Hello there,” a friendly voice said, coming up beside the drummer.

Kai turned. Standing beside him was one of the most beautiful men he had ever seen. He was wrapped up in a long dark blue coat with a lighter coloured scarf obscuring a lot of his face, yet Kai instantly knew who it was.

“H-H-Hello,” replied the drummer, blushing as he realised his stutter.

“Are you cold or something?” the other man asked, concern flooding his voice.

“Ah, n-no! I’m fine!” His blush deepened. “Thank you for asking though. It’s nice to have someone appreciate you,” he added as a hasty afterthought.

The other man smiled. “No problem. Hey look, do you fancy a coffee or something? This weather’s nice and all, but we shouldn’t stay out in the cold for too long...”

Kai nodded, a grateful smile gracing his features. The two men walked off together, chatting animatedly about everything and anything, yet they always landed back on music and the topic of the two bands they belonged too. Despite the misfortune and melancholy Kai had experienced at the hands of Yune, the future was suddenly looking bright for him. He didn’t know whether it was the man walking beside him or just the sun that burst through the grey clouds, but he was just thankful for it. He was stronger now, and so were his friends for all they had endured.

So it was a happy ending after all...

HOLY SHIT

IT'S FINISHED
