As some of you might be aware, my dear friend Denise (
http://www.denisetheartist.com) is publishing her first book. The book is called "Graveyard Fairies" and is an all ages, fully painted storybook filled with spooky charm.
You can visit us at
http://www.graveyardfairies.com for a look at the art and the characters.
The big news, however, is that there will be a gallery opening for the book on October the 18th from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM in Longwood, Florida. If you are local, please join us at the Longwood Community Center at 200 W. Warren Ave. Longwood, Florida for this free event. ALL of the original paintings used for the book (plus others) will be on display and available for purchase. There will also be a selection of prints, trick or treat bags, t-shirts, the book itself and other goodies. If you're intrigued by the art (and I believe you will be), the book will also be available for purchase on the website starting that evening.
Dan Brereton (Nocturnals, JLA: Seven Caskets, Giant Killer) says: " Graveyard Fairies feels like something right off of Halloween Girl's own bookshelf. Both beautiful and substantial, a charming read with illustrations that exist in a world all their own."
Phil Noto (Jonah Hex, The New West, Birds of Prey) says: "Beautiful art with fascinating descriptions. An amazing fantasy collection. Denise and Marc are truly talented! "
