I've been reading mangas again...

Actually, despite what I've been telling you, I've never stopped. I'm sorry.

There's been more and more Korean "Manhwa" being translated, and they've all been kind of shitty, still. However, one particular title caught my eye (the left one, the right one was busy being poked with a hot poker) and seriously made me reconsider my generally dour opinion of manhwas in general.

Witch Hunter still has your obligatory giant-breasted, scantily clad females, "bad-ass" looking costumes, and ridiculous display of magic and weaponry, which makes it no different then most crude manga/manhwa catches. The one major catch, however, is that Witch Hunter didn't offend me. In fact, the art style are so reminiscent of the good Shonen Jump series that I immediately started mastur-I MEAN ENJOYING THE STORY, THE STORY, OH DEAR GOD I HAVE PROBLEMS!

Anyway, Witch Hunter hold a lot of promise, it's pretty violent and shonen-esque, but the art is interesting (at least it isn't copied straight out of a $5 "how to draw manga" book). If you HAVE TO read a manhwa or the terrorists will shoot an adorable puppy, read Witch Hunter.

If you want an interesting manga, however, I'd recommend Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, it's cute, it's a bit sad, it's set in a future dystopic world, and it doesn't bother explaining everything. I still enjoyed it immensely anyway.

I'm amazed at what One Piece is doing to its storyline, I'm still amazed at how Naruto can be so god damn interesting, and I'm still disappointed that Bleach is just a steaming pile of power creep and incomprehensible fight scenes.

Oh, right, and here are some free GTO for you to read, in case you don't feel like spending $200 picking up all the volumes. WARNING: QUALITY IN SOME CHAPTERS MAY BE TERRIBLY ABYSMAL!
