What I did on my day off.

The day off is only halfway through, but I doubt that I'll be doing anything much in the afternoon.

So far I've slept in (until 6:30am; oh the luxury), and fiddled about with this and that, and written some postcards (anyone who wants one can email me with their address), and lazed on the couch, and lazed in this chair, and lazed on the floor with a book, and lazed on the couch with a book (who says blokes can't multi-task) and eaten chocolate. What I haven't done is the pruning, which needs doing. I promised myself I'd do some pruning today. I think I'm going to let myself down again. I might have to give myself some more chocolate by way of apology.

I also have to clean the kitchen. That's the thing I've been avoiding most assiduously today. It all looks a bit like the second magnet on this page: http://www.horacek.com.au/thgsmagnets.htm I have that magnet on my fridge, somewhere.

At intervals I look at the kitchen, in passing, but it hasn't tidied itself or been attacked by the crockery-cleaning fairies, so I'll have do do it myself, as always. Unless....

*peers*

Nope, still a mess. Bugger.

Sooner or later I'll have to clean up in there, so I can cook and make a fresh mess. Is it so wrong, to leave it all until I *have* to clean up?

Should I debate the philosophy of kitchen-cleaning, and the rationale for cleaning kitchens, or should I just go and get stuck into the mess?

Maybe I'll sit here and think about that for a while.
