Rehearsals for Harvey are going very well. Saturday we're off book, we have a full week of rehearsal after that, and then tech week which is essentially another week of rehearsals with lights, sound, full props and costumes.

What really has me intimidated -- and inspired -- is the fact that so many people are off book already. I learn my lines by doing, by actually being onstage and going through the motions -- I need the spatial relationships with the other actors and hearing them recite their lines. Fortunately, I've been doing this long enough now that I can learn my lines reasonably fast with this method. Oh, sure, Saturday when we're off book is going to be a small slice of hell served with shallots, garlic, basil and balsamic vinaigrette, but that sounds really tasty right about now. Mmm, garlic.
And I got my scripts for The Real Inspector Hound, so it's time to start thinking about that production as well.
