Wearing shades while walking in the subway may seem likely totally swag and stupid. To me, it's more like -2 steps to exposure - seeing the surroundings as a darker shot of the bracketing. Slightly dark, yeah, but at the same time you get to see more details in the light, especially looking at someone blindeningly dazzling.
