Just got notice: I have been approved as a merchant for the SCA Gulf Wars in March. I've done small SCA events, but this is my first big one: One week, have to be open 11-6 (and until 11 pm on Wednesday), stay in garb all the time. But, my experience is that SCA members buy books.
Have already sorted out steampunk, and most of the general books which only cover 400-1600 CE a little; buying more clearly medieval material. Should be interesting. Ideally will also be profitable.
Downside (isn't there always one of those?). This will be the last week of my online course, and it is not clear that there is any WiFi anywhere near the event (may have to commute to Hattiesburg, ca 30 miles each way, to keep up with that class.
