It's the most wonderful time of the year!
That's right! the time has finally come for....the 2nd Annual Brandy Snow Watch! I spent all day yesterday inviting people, which meant I spent a great deal of time explaining myself and why I would have such a party. reactions ranged From:
Me: Oh, by the way, I'm having a Brandy Snow Watch at my house tommorow.
Random person: Oh...Is that where you drink brandy and wait for it to snow?
Me: Yes, exactly.
Random person: Awesome!
To
Me: Oh, you should come to my Brandy Snow Watch tommorow
Random person: What the hell is that?
Me: *explains*
Random person: You realize it's not going to snow.....right?
Me: *sound of me smacking myself in the forehead*
Random person: You should really plan these things better.
Me: *sound of me beating my head on sidewalk*
Random person: It just dosen't make any sense!
Me *sticks TNT into ass and lights*
But seriously, I think the party is going to go really well. I got to invite almost every person in Berea that I wanted to invite. And once people show up, they should stop talking about how the premsis dosen't make any sense! The spirit of Snow Watch is not genuinely expecting it to snow, getting drunk enough to think it might snow, or even getting too drunk to care. It's about catching that feeling that you used to get when it snowed for the first time that year. When the fireflies are long gone, all the leaves have fallen off the trees, and it's not quite socially acceptable to start waiting for christmas(Unless you're Shaun.) It's about the hope of something wonderful happening, even if you highly doubt it, because it's good to have hope, dammit! So wherever you are, watch the skies tonight and do something silly, if only for a moment.
