I AM THE NINA, THE PINTA, THE SANTA MARIA

EFFING A!!! What an amazing day!!! Julie popped in at 9:30, in the AM, to eat some breakfast burritos, and then it was off to the KICK-ASSINEST CONCERT I'VE BEEN TO!!! EVER!!! And the cold made it better, trust me.

First off, we got there, stood in line, all that crap. Then we got in just as Yellowcard was about to begin, and that was good, because Julie loves Yellowcard. THEY ARE INSANE LIVE!!! The guy with the violin is magnificent. Then after they played, we pretty much wasted time until I think Cold came on. And they were really, really good. I liked this one song so good, I bought the CD. :D I also bought the Institute CD, and the Homecoming T-Shirt. Then 30 Seconds to Mars played, and they were also really good. Jared Leto is a crazy mo-fo. The crowd went crazy after the first performer in the audience incident. Then Jared ran across the backs of the chairs to the stage. Then ummmmm, wow, long day, oh All-American Rejects came on. They were pretty good. Everyone that played today, rocked substantially. No one sucked, and that was awesome.
Then some really heavy old-school style metal from Avenged Sevenfold. The best part of their set was the left-handed guitar player, and the righty 'battling' it out during 'Bat Country'. Great stuff. Then Institute, featuring Gavin Rossdale of Bush, played. They played the obligatory new stuff, but then they whipped out the old-school Bush, and they rocked the house the hardest so far. Awesome set. Then Fall Out Boy came on, and they did a good job. The crowd was really, really hyped up for them. I guess everybody likes the Fall Out Boy. The bass player kept jumping off of stuff, and that was pretty cool. Then Seether. I had seen them once before, but it was an incredible experience, once again. They rocked. Hard. It was insane. Crazy shit. I thought I had seen it all, but I was wrong.

First of, for those of you who don't know. Audioslave is the singer from Soundgarden and the Rage Against the Machine band. Yeah, so it was quite effing insane. They played all the old Soundgarden singles. The singer was even impressed when the entire audience carried the song for almost 45 seconds by its self. He just stood there smiling. Then they busted out the Rage, and the place went completely ape-shit. I do not believe I have ever seen that many people jumping and moshing, and screaming, and head-banging, and gosh, it was insane. They started off with the beginning of 'Bulls on Parade', then they played 'Killing in the Name of', and 'Sleep Now in the Fire'. Tom Morello is fabulous.

And it is time to sleep. Man I had a good day today...
