I'm currently doing research for a paper on WWII-time Yugoslavia, and bless the Western historians for trying to explain in layman's terms the differences and reasons for antagonism between Serbs and Croats. But I will scream if I see the phrase "[the Catholic Croats and the] Greek Orthodox Serbs" one more time. Greeks are Greek Orthodox and Serbs are - can anyone take a guess? Serbian Orthodox! And Russians are Russian Orthodox, Bulgarians are Bulgarian Orthodox, Macedonians are Macedonian Orthodox, and so on for about 20 denominations of Orthodoxy which are determined along national lines, which Western academia seems incapable of comprehending. It's really not a difficult concept to wrap your head around, now is it?
