Well, this certainly beat all. In his short time as a prisoner in the Asylum, Germany had seen a few people leave and come back--but no one he knew had left as an adult and returned as a precocious child. In this case it was a child that was one of his Children in actual fact: young Franziska von Karma, the famed prosecutor, who had gone from a young woman in the first flower of maturity to a just-barely-teenage youngster who had apparently already made her mark in the world to which she had suddenly returned--then suddenly left again.
Ludwig was worried. She was so young... the Asylum was so odd, and getting even more odd. He did not wish any harm to come to the little Fraulein, so he determined to meet with her as soon as possible--to help her navigate the safe foods, realize where she should move with caution, and above all--find something to occupy her fine young mind. So he donned his nicest uniform, made certain he looked like a complete gentleman, and tucked into his notebook all the notes he had, some in her handwriting, some in his. He had also made lists of the safe foods; a map of the Asylum with a list of things available to do; and a list of the warnings usually given to newcomers. They had agreed to meet over tea in the cafeteria--so he headed down there, got two cups of tea plus creamer and sugar, and found a table in the far corner where they would be undisturbed and safe. Germany liked to be able to see if anyone odd was coming....
