It had actually been a little while since Haine had been outside of his room; well, for something aside from eating in the cafeteria. To be completely honest, he was still just a tad bit embarrassed by what had happened during their supposed 'Halloween'. He wasn't sure what weirded him out more, the costume that wasn't able to come off on himself or that following the whole ordeal, the entire network was completely overridden by transvestites.
Or that he had still had an acquired taste for milk to this day since then.
He sighed and took the stairs down to the lowest level, pushing his hands into his leather pockets as his boots seemed to be the only sound echoing throughout the halls. It was so quiet.. something else Haine wasn't really too used to either.
As he made it out the double doors to the garden, his thick boots crunched the fake grass as he sat on a nearby bench, finding slight relief in being outside. Or at least the illusion of being outside, he still wasn't too sure.
There were a lot of things on his mind since he had come here, things that he had not much time to really think about back at home. Bits of his childhood, mostly, despite little remembrance of it.. and that no matter how far back he could push his 'other' self into his mind, it was still there; he could still feel it. Even worse so, he could still clearly remember Lily's expression as she had desperately clung to his body before he had killed her.
It certainly didn't help that Gio.. Giovanni was here too.
Badou had spoken with him.. and he's seen him over the network too. He hadn't changed, he was still taunting him. But why? Why when they were all stuck here- what is the damn point. He never really knew the point before, but right now it just seemed all the more bothersome.
Maybe.. he could be their only way out of this place, even if it meant going back straight to the underground. Haine wasn't afraid of it himself, quite the contrary, but bringing Nill or even Badou there.. it would be a huge liability.
Then there was consideration of what Badou had told him when he had first arrived. About.. never going back. Was that an option too? But Haine wasn't so sure if that was the best resolve either.
It was all just so .. fucked up in his mind at this point.
