Summary: Kaoru is NOT HAPPY that Hikaru-chan has gone missing.

The discovery of the girl's cardigan hanging innocently in his wardrobe had practically floored him. Kaoru had wanted to believe it was a bad joke at first - he'd made it, originally, but given it to Hikaru-chan. It belonged to her. Why would it end up back in his possession? For what reason would it return to him?
He knew why. And he hadn't been able to shake the sinking feeling since.
He had been waiting for this. But that didn't mean he was ready for it.
He'd ended up pacing the room, the article of clothing clutched in his hands like a lifeline, practically ignoring Hikaru and offering him no explanation for his behavior. This could be over and done with easily, all he had to do was run out of the room and check, but he wasn't given to such rash actions. Instead he'd eventually given up pacing and sunk into the chair in front of the computer, the garment lying in his lap.
Someone on the network would know, someone would have seen her. They had to have.
