Bookman straightened the documents around his room. There were not nearly as many as Lavi had collected over his year or so in the Asylum, but he had borrowed some of them to read and review, and written some of his own. He tended to be a little messy, a habit he shared with the Director of the Black Order, but for different reasons entirely. He knew where things were when he left them somewhere, and if there was something to get back to it was only a matter of time that he would return to read it.
He sorely lacked the traditional kind of reading material, however. There was not a newspaper in sight, and the computer forum posts were a sorry replacement. It did at least provide an interesting insight into the thoughts of all the residents, but Bookman unfortunately did not share the same interest in all of them and their antics that the doctors did. He was more concerned with what the doctors found interesting in them, and what significance the disappearance and reappearance of their patients could mean. Whether it was memory loss, some strange experiment as Komui had guessed at, or perhaps to do with even the same difference in time that they experienced between each other, he wouldn't know without talking to the others.
But there was no reason to leave a mess when they came to visit, and the rooms they were given lacked any decent furniture to sit on besides the bed. Now that his space was presentable, he turned to wait, only checking the forum once more to see if Kanda had replied. He supposed that the swordsman probably would not, being as anti-social as he was. They could speak later. He also would have to track down Miranda.
