He didn't want to open the door. Honestly he didn't even want to get out of bed. All he wanted was to sleep until this went away. All things healed with time, after all. But he was clearly not going to be left alone as he wished. It would be best to just cooperate, lest he make the situation worse.

" ... you can come in."

Oh, he didn't sound good at all! Russia opened the door quietly. He'd gotten used to illness, it was a constant in his house. He had no medical knowledge, but he knew what could help, sometimes. He shut the door, then pulled the desk chair closer to the bed. Liet really looked terrible. After a moment, Russia spoke softly, mindful that loud noises would probably be unpleasant right now. "Do I need to get you anything?"

"No, it's alright ... someone said that they would bring me soup. I don't know if it will help, but ... " There were times when he was happy too be with Russia. When the man's kindness showed through and he felt protected. Almost loved. It was difficult, knowing that there were two very different sides to Russia.

"Then that is good." Russia smiled at him. He'd do anything to protect his Liet, even if sometimes it didn't seem like that. He reached out and gently stroked Liet's hair. Then he pulled the covers up slightly, almost tucking the other nation in.

He'd lost track of how long he'd been sitting there, watching while Liet slept. He hadn't minded. He'd do anything for Liet.

At least, he hadn't minded until Liet had started talking in his sleep. And gradually, his smile had changed into a far more familiar one: that sort of fixed, vague smile that meant bad things would happen when Liet woke up.

He wouldn't wake him, but Liet had some things to answer for.

He had dreamed of home. Sunlight fields and the smell of rye. He always muttered in his sleep when he wasn't feeling well. That fact had gotten him in trouble a few times, but he did not know how to stop. He wanted what he dreamed to be true so badly that it just leaked out.

When Lithuania woke he was disoriented. He knew he had been ill, he still felt that now though it wasn't nearly as bad, but where was he? Certainly not a place he knew well.

Oh, he was waking up. "Are you feeling better, Liet?" Russia asked pleasantly. "You worried me." Anyone else would have hugged him, or gotten up to get him a glass of water. But Russia... just sat there, smiling. Coming from him, that response wasn't too different from the sound rattlesnakes made just before they struck.

He didn't show it, he never showed it when he was angry, but he was perfectly furious. Liet didn't want to stay in Russia's house! He'd practically admitted it on the typewriter thing, and then, in his sleep, he'd talked about Poland! After all Russia had done for him!

It was... well, it couldn't be allowed!

His exact location ceased to matter. In fact, most things didn't matter when Russia had that look on his face. Only survival. And that might turn out to be difficult. Liet pushed himself up into a sitting position, still feeling a bit dizzy and weak. "Aah, yes, I'm a bit better now ... "
