It would be nice to relax with his friends - if for no other reason than the human interaction helped Hakkai put vivid memories triggered by equally vivid nightmares to the back of his mind. He was used to living with the guilt quietly boiling somewhere just below conscious thought most of the time, but was having a much harder time dealing with it when this place seemed to continually shove it in his face.
Thank the merciful goddess Gojyo was here. Hakkai wasn't certain he'd be able to retain his sanity otherwise.
His friend had perked up at the suggestion of a poker game, and hadn't needed any convincing at all to follow him to the cafeteria to meet with Vash and his friend Wolfwood.
