Firo had made a quick run down to the cafeteria, and hadn't gone all of two steps past the doorway once out of the stairwell when he found out his foot had gotten caught on something. "...huh??"

He righted his balance with a few more lurching steps before he was able to glance back and see what in the world he'd tripped o-

"-Garrus?!"

Wanting to ask Firo as quickly as possible to trail Garrus up to D Floor just in case, the still slightly sick Ennis opened the door to the hall to check if he had returned yet, just in time to hear his startled shout.

Setting her illness aside, she hurried over to the stairwell, concerned (especially by the seemingly malicious signs posted on either side of him), but as she got closer and saw that he was uninjured and just sound asleep, Ennis sighed in relief as she slowed to stop beside Firo.

Hearing the footsteps from down the hall, Firo turned to look. "Ennis!" Asking if she was all right was on the tip of his tongue, but he knew she was at least much better than she had been in the past weeks. He rested a hand on her shoulder as she came over, looking back down at the sleeping Turian then, and not without a slight frown at the signs.

"...I guess it could have been worse..." he said, slowly moving to kneel by Garrus, picking up one of the signs. He glanced over his shoulder at Ennis. "We can't just leave him here. I don't think I can move him by myself, but if you're feeling all right...?" Experimentally he lifted one of the Turian's arms, mindful it was the uninjured one. "Or if not, maybe I can find someone to help..."

"Yes..." Ennis agreed, the hand on her shoulder a great comfort. It was hard to say if he had been knocked out or just simply passed out, but if it had to happen, she was glad that it had been on B Floor and not in the middle of that mess two floors above.

When Firo went to kneel, Ennis crouched down as well, lightly touching Garrus' face, but it was just as warm as normal. It must have been just stress and exhaustion, then... A frown overcame her face, thinking of the latest event. Why did things like this constantly have to happen and ruin his chances of getting any proper rest? And for the current situation to be so petty... What was even the point of it? There was so much more to be concerned with without people abducting others for the sake of some 'social experiment'...

But she couldn't dwell upon that right now--not when Garrus needed her. She still wasn't up to her full strength, but with Firo helping, she was sure that they would be able to pull the turian to a more secure location. "I am well enough," she told Firo, and looked over their options. They couldn't drag him by his arms with one of them so injured... "We should pull him back to our room by his legs," she suggested. "We might be able to get him on the bed once we're there..."

"We'll figure it out as we go," Firo said, quite the fan of doing things that way. He nodded at Ennis and then rose to his feet again, stepping around to the other side of the Turian. "Maybe we should roll him over first." It would probably be better and less of a drag on his other arm that way. It'd be so much easier if they could just carry the guy, but Firo was only immortal, not granted super-strength.

It would likely be better on his face as well to turn him on his back first. "Yes," she agreed, and moved into a better position to push Garrus over, ready when Firo was.

As soon as Ennis was moving to get into place so they could roll Garrus over, Firo did likewise, mindful of which side was the one they had to be careful of. They'd roll him over on the side that hadn't been injured.

"Ready? On three," he said, glancing at Ennis with a nod. "One... two... three-"

"Yes," she said, listening to his count and putting all her strength into it once Firo reached three.

Between the two of them, it was harder to ensure they were not aggravating Garrus' injuries than it was to roll him over. Once he was safely on his back, Ennis carefully folded his arms over his chest so that they would not bump into anything on the way before taking hold of one of his legs and rising.

Hopefully this would be the hardest part of their task, although Firo briefly wondered how they'd manage to get the Turian onto the bed, granted they got him to their room. "Okay, now the fun part," he said to Ennis, smiling wryly.

He went around to the Turian's legs, nodding at Ennis to wait for her to take up a position by Garrus's other side.

She smiled back a bit humorlessly, but Ennis was already beginning to see the absurdity in the situation. Hopefully Garrus would take a lesson from this and try to get a little more sleep... "It should be easier once we get him moving."

On her feet now, Ennis waited for Firo to grab hold of Garrus' other leg before she began to pull, starting slowly to put less strain on the turian's body, but then leaned back to put all her weight into it.

Firo made sure he had a firm grasp of Garrus's leg that he was closest to, and once he made certain Ennis was ready, he began to haul. It took a moment to get them moving, but between the two of them certainly made a difference in progress.

"Wonder if he'll wake up..." the Camorrista murmured, glancing over his shoulder at the sleeping Turian they dragged.

No, he was not going to wake up. He was, however, going to groan quietly, but stayed very firmly limp. A couple discernible words were heard. Something about an apology. And a commander.

"If he wakes up, he is going back to sleep," Ennis replied in a tone leaving no room for argument. She wouldn't allow him to put himself at risk in this state--enough was enough. If she couldn't trust him to get the minimum required amount of sleep on his own, Ennis would make it her business.

It was not an unmanageable distance from the stairwell to Firo's room, but it nearly broke her to hear that Garrus could not escape the guilt even in his dreams.

He would have laughed at Ennis's adamant response, but when Firo thought that Garrus might stir from his sleep, he held his breath, slowing down a moment. When it became evident that the Turian was not going to awaken, Firo couldn't help but let out a small sigh. Not that they were doing anything wrong by dragging the guy along the hall, but it would be an awkward situation. That was the least of his concerns though as he caught a few of the murmurings that slipped through Garrus's sleepiness.

"...." He exchanged a glance with Ennis, his chest tight with the inability to say or do anything to ease whatever pain the Turian yet felt by Shepard's sudden disappearance. He felt Gerd's sympathy far back in his mind resounding with his own.

Don't take me away from Ennis... don't take me away from her either...

Gene decided it was time to explore. Maybe see if he could find his guns or a computer with an uplink. At least get something to eat.

That was the plan, anyway. It was cut somewhat short when he opened his door. "Oh, hey." A man and a woman were trying to drag a large... guy... down the hall, and not having much luck. Guy looked like he was out cold. "Someone hurt?" Automatically, he strode over to them, cocky attitude firmly in place. "Need any help?"

Ennis couldn't miss the look in Firo's eyes--it matched her own fears of one day being separated from him just as Garrus had been separated from Shepard. She didn't have any sort of confidence that she would be able to continue on without him. Most likely, she would be in Garrus' place, sleepless and heartbroken, unable to even function.

Thankfully, a distraction was provided by the man suddenly leaving his room and offering his help, pulling her away from dwelling uselessly on something she would not have any control over until they located the doctors. "He is just asleep," she explained to the man, quickly composing herself, "but we would appreciate your help in getting him to a bed." With three people, it would be a much easier task to pick him up off the floor.

Gene's interruption was appreciated as Firo knew the mood would have continued to be heavy otherwise. He raised his head, looking towards the man that had just emerged from one of the rooms. Someone new? Not that he was familiar with a whole lot of people here- not nearly as much as Ennis.

"Err... what she said. Found him passed out here in the hall so we're trying to get him back to my room so he can rest better without being run over or something," Firo filled in after Ennis, grinning sheepishly. "We could use an extra hand though, yeah." The guy looked like he'd be able to provide substantial muscle-power to this, and anything would be good if it would lessen the strain they'd be putting Garrus through.

"Oh, but we have to be careful of his injuries. His arm was messed up so we're trying to avoid moving it around," he added.

Gene nodded. "Sure. I know how much sleeping on the floor sucks." He was blissfully unaware that he'd interrupted a Moment. Though he was eyeing the woman speculatively. Pretty in a way, though she didn't seem to have much interest in dressing to impress.

He stepped forward, trying to determine where the best place to grab the guy would be. Finally he decided that he'd just have to grab him by the shoulders. Bastard looked heavy. "Where are we going?"

He wondered about the girl, if she and the brown-haired man were dating. It would be a shame if they were. Gene had learned two things about women: never mess with another man's girl, and never mess with a girl that could benchpress you.
