Rinali hadn't been sleeping at all for the past -what felt like- few days. Tired eyes dried with old tears from her own emotional stupidity, she found her way to the garden area, remembering just how...nice it was whe Lockon took her there.
The memories though, of Lockon pushing her down and just kissing her in the starless sky made her chest almost...ache. Why was she so jealous over something she shouldn't be jealous on. Did she really even care that much? God, how she wished she could just be a strong girl like he deserved... Then again, he had that feeling aroud him like...Lavi did. A flirt...what IS it with her and flirts... Rubbing her forehead, she knelt down, covering her eyes with her hands, unknowing to the other presence in the room as she sighed heavily. She must of been sucked in easily to their flirtings..that had to be it. She fell too hard, too fast...and now it was taking a toll on her with her insecurities in herself...
His attention had been distracted up at the "sky", thinking maybe if he could actually see some stars, this place would feel less like a prison. More tolerable just being able to have his goal in sight. He could pick the Citadel's nebula out of the billions out there--always could.
A soft sound pulled him back to earth. It couldn't have been the husks. They were content to stay near the plant--not that he wanted to bother them again. So it had to be...
"Rinali?" he called out, softly. She looked about ready to cry. "Are you... what's wrong?" Much as he'd like to get up and go check on her personally... his knee informed him grouchily that staying seated would be a better idea. "Are you out here alone...?"
She was so lost in her thoughts she hardly heard her name, but when the words after came with, she straightened up, standing rather quickly to see Garrus sitting there. "Ah..you startled me."
Looking around, she made a hesitant step towards him. "I could ask you the same thing...You're out here alone, too." She said. She was slightly happy to see him but at the same time, his attitude towards everything had been horrible. Lethargic, sad...everything that she almost was doing, too... "Did you come out to get some...non-bedroom-air?"
"Sorry..." he muttered, shifting over slightly. "I didn't mean to."
He really had messed up between them, if her sudden reluctance was anything to judge by. Sighing himself, he shook his head, biting back the initial response to You're out here alone. "I... needed to clear my head, yeah," he admitted.
You need to at least try and fix some things... You can't do this alone. You're not cut out for it.
"Look, Rinali... I'm... I'm sorry," he told her, sincerely, even as he pressed a hand to his face, hiding it. "I know you were trying, and I really do appreciate that... I just... it's been a rough couple weeks. And that was wrong to take it out on you."
