Sucky people will suck regardless of age, gender and culture

This article came out a few days ago and it was actually quite interesting to read some of the comments. Honestly? I think all the comments were made by guys-butthurt males who complained but still fell for women's tricks anyway.

Before anyone starts slamming me, I'm not exactly a feminist. I do get offended by sexist comments and if some guy were to tell me to stay out of his and his brothers' affairs 'cos it's a guy's thing and women shouldn't meddle, I'd probably just flick my hair over my shoulder, give him the finger and tell him to go to hell and ride away into the night on my bike decked in black leather boots and skirt-if I had a bike that is, and uh, leather boots. It's just that I'm not so big on things like guys should always be paying for dinners or opening the door for ladies and I'm not going to defend women just because I am one myself. For the most part, I think it's true that women are money suckers but hey, materialism is a disease that has infected almost everyone-guys or girls it doesn't matter if you have your jaws slacked at the latest brand collection.

Let me get back on topic-the guys. Disregarding my misanthropic side, I really think Singaporean guys are just no good. Before they complain about women being 'no money, no talk', they should really take a good long look at themselves and see if they're really all that great. I'm not generalising all of them, just analysing what I have seen so far and-much to my disappointment-they are just a bunch of spoiled, sheltered and arrogant kids. I won't even begin to talk about how ungentlemanly they behave because I'm afraid my eyes will roll themselves out and gosh, who the hell burps in their girlfriend's mouth, that's just plain gross and besides the point.

The other day my mom saw this family-two 19ish boys with their mother. The boys actually pushed their canned drinks to their mom and asked her to open the caps because you know, their hands are made of delicate glass. I don't know what's worse-the sons requested such an atrocity or the fact that the mom actually happily obliged to that request. It renders me speechless and baffles me so much.

The tales my friends tell me about their boyfriends really don't help at all. It only threatens to pull the question, "why the hell are you guys still dating" out of my mouth. Ugh, it's excruciating when I'm trying to write some examples but I can't because this is public and I don't want it to turn into some dark and disdainful post. It's also funny when I think about all the problems these guys have, they can be applied to girls as well. I guess it's a Singaporean problem? Or just humans' in general.

Writing this post drains and puts me in a bad mood when I recall all the unflattering memories, so I shall stop now. Ugh.

rants, my life, misanthropy, singapore
