Babies everywhere!
Congrats to Chris and Miranda who had a beautiful baby boy recently.
Congrats to minismee and Jimmy who are expecting a mini-person in or around mid-March.
Congrats to thenicedime and Michael who are expecting a baby before the year is up.
Congrats to Amber and Stephen who are also expecting a little person within the year.
Good heavens.
In other news, Angie and Christian have set their wedding date for March 14. YAY! I get to be a bridesmaid again ^.^
One of Robert's friends asked him and some other people to list five of the most important songs in their lives. She was compiling the results to make a CD to play her baby (another baby!), and the idea was pretty awesome.
1. "Ecstacy of Gold" from "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" soundtrack. Mom played it all the time when we were growing up, and it was always so pretty! It was the song that made me want to learn to sing soprano (so I could sing the girl part), and it was the song Mom used as ammo against me when I said I hated classical music. =p
2. "Silence" by Delerium. This was the song that was playing when I had my "I'm actually a pretty cool person, and I like myself" epiphany back in 2003. It's also very pretty.
3. "Rhythm of the Rain" by The Cascades. This was one of the songs on the oldies station, and it seemed to always come on when I was sad. Despite its depressing lyrics, it was always a very welcome song, and I still love it.
4. "Vivo por Ella" by Andrea Bocelli and Marta Sanchez. This song got me hooked on classic vocal pieces, specifically with the rest of Andrea Bocelli's work. It's such a gorgeous piece, very uplifting. It makes me happy.
5. "Praise You in This Storm" by Casting Crowns. During a time of my life when I was really low, this gave me a new perspective.

What does next year have in store for me?
"The District Sleeps Alone Tonight" - The Postal Service. Probably that I'll be single again this year. Good! More "me time" to learn new things uninterrupted.

What do I say when life gets hard?
"Can't Stop Loving You" - Phil Collins. I guess I tell life that I love it? I've got some issues here...

"Every Day Is Exactly The Same" - Nine Inch Nails. Hmm, that's pretty accurate!
What song will you sing at your wedding?
"Fast Cars and Freedom" - Rascal Flatts. I doubt it's the sort of song I'd sing (unless I was gender-confused or ended up in a lesbian marriage), but it's kind of a cool one about love.
What do you want as a career?
"Bullet Proof" - The Goo Goo Dolls. I guess I want to be a bodyguard? Or a Kevlar vest?
Your favorite saying?
"Shut Up and Smile" - Bowling for Soup. Ha, not my favorite saying, but it's a good one!
What do you think of your parents?
"Why Do You Love Me?" - Garbage. Not the first thing I think of when I think about my parents, but I suppose it's a fair question.
Where would you go on a first date?
"For Emily, Wherever I May Find Her" - Simon & Garfunkel. I guess I want to wander around town on a cold, rainy night.
Drug of choice?
"Mistake No. 2" - A Touch of Class. Hahahaha! Mistakes: My Anti-Drug.
Describe yourself?
"Thank You (For Not Being One of Them)" - Mr. T Experience. I guess...I guess my description is "not one of them."
How will I Die?
"To The Moon and Back" - Savage Garden. Now, if we go on title alone, I'm going to die on a trip to the moon or coming back from said trip to the moon. If we go based on content, then I'm going to die bitter and alone.
What song will be played at your funeral?
"The District Sleeps Alone Tonight" - The Postal Service. Now THAT is weird - twice in a small amount of time out of over 700 songs? *shrug*
