What I did on my summer holiday
Well, I'm back off holiday. We actually arrived back in England early Tuesday morning. I decided that now is the time to post all the info before I forget the best bits.
The place we stayed in Spain was called Playa Honda. A quiet little place on the coast of an inland sea near the South-Easterly tip of Spain. We knew the place was going to be quiet, but we didn't realize just how quiet!
The beach was wonderful. Being an inland sea, the water wasn't as cold as it would be in the Mediterranean. Although saying that, the Med wasn't exactly freezing.
Even though we had rented an apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, we chose to eat out some nights. There wasn't much choice in places to eat, however. Just a few British bars. We didn't go on holiday to eat chips! Although, the one british bar we ate at was pretty good. Delicious steak. Mmmm.
Fortunately, we found a few decent places at a nearby place called La Manga.
La Manga is on a narrow strip of land that separated the aforementioned inland sea from the Med. It was there that we found a particularly nice Chinese restaurant. It was separated into two parts. One was a buffet type affair while the other was a restaurant proper.
This was the only holiday that I returned home with money to spare. Even after stuff in duty free on the way home!
