Oh dear friend Bradleo:
It is always my pleasure to have you and your Consumers grace one of my get-togethers. Of course, that particular party's theme was much too easy for you, being of the social class you have inexorably been shoved into while climbing the Billboard Pop Charts. But it ain’t easy being rock and roll royalty, I understand, so I won’t embarrass you further. (I will, however, say that your last record is still to this day one of my all-time favoritoroos.)
But good heavens to Corin Tucker, were you sipping too much of Neil Garriscond’s specially imported Sweizer 1944? Because you should know by now that the pad I throw my shindigs at belongs to dear Lyle and his oft MIA roommate Kearcy. The portrait of Catherine the Great was one, I believe, Lyle and Derek lifted during a heist at the Russian Embassy in late 1988, shortly after R.E.M. released their landmark major label debut ‘Green.’
As for the young lass you “entertained” in our private quarters, I’m sure she had the time of her life, and that you’ve spoiled her for every other boy next in line. She’s been swooning ever since that night, walking lazily about as though life had reached its apex in her and the twinkling of its midsummer night stars were still devilishly afoot in her cloudy skies. Wherever did you acquire such an effect on the ladies, you demon?
I look forward to making your acquaintance again. Until then, show Joan Jett and the Blackhearts who the fuck built this city on rock and roll.
