Ben might not admit it but his time being bound within Milliways is actually something of a godsend. He's had time to relearn how to move about in a body that is almost half the size it once was and test the limits of his strength, well try to anyway. Giant boulders might be good for relearning the skills needed to move awkward objects but they still weren't much of a challenge.
He's also be learning a lot more about the layout of Milliways, finding places he simply wouldn't have fit into before. For instance the elevator to the garage. Okay true, he likely would have fit but it would have been a tight squeeze and he never would have looked for it in the first place. But he had and to say he was glad he did doesn't even begin to capture the emotions he is feelings right now as he stares up at the lion.
Okay, yeah, there are a lot of really nice vehicles down here. Classic muscle cars, motorbikes, he's pretty sure he even saw a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and maybe even the Green Hornet's car from the old TV show with Bruce Lee.
But when he caught sight of the royal crest on the black metal and chrome of the robot lion, nothing else mattered. And then he noticed the ladder on the side leading to the open cockpit door.
And then he noticed the heraldic styled key in the control panel which turned as if it had been waiting for him.
All the while
a certain song is playing in his head as he yells out, "Go Voltron!" in unadulterated glee.
