Walking update....May 16th-May 23rd
Well, I finally started walking again. I was sick two weeks ago and last week I had appt's, it rained and I took my Mom out for Mother's Day lunch so my week was pretty well shot. So finally Sat. I was able to get back to my routine. It was very windy and a bit cold but I managed. Sunday was much nicer and today was beautiful but really windy again. I was surprised I didn't have more litter to pick up but with all the growing grass in the ditches, I can't see stuff as easily anymore. So...I guess I'll just be picking up stuff on the gravel edge now.
My lawn mower is sick again. I had gotten it back right after vacation, mowed for the first time and it killed like 5 times!!!!! So needless to say I was a bit pissed after it had it's spring tuneup and all. So the second time I tried to mow, it was wayyyy worse at running and finally I gave up and borrowed my neighbor's mower. Called the repair guy and basically asked...."Did you bother to work on this or not?"
After I described the problem...again...he asks after mulling over these pertinent thoughts: "A woman and blonde"...."Did you put gas in it?" comment which...if I had been able to reach through the phone and throttle him within an inch of his life I WOULD HAVE...said YES...a brand NEW re-filled can!!!! Dumbass misoginistic jerk!!!!!!
He comes over "while I'm at work" starts it and runs it 10 minutes with NO problem, even using my "gas", so yes...there was gas in it!!! He probably thought I was off my bloody rocker, so he had his wife call me instead. LOL!!! I told her he should have put the bagger on and tried mowing for more than 10 minutes because I guarantee it won't stay running after 10 minutes. He calls me back and says it's probably the power module(mower is old) and he'll try to find a used module...because otherwise I might as well buy a new mower. Then come to find out Toro doesn't make push mowers anymore...so great...I'll buy a cheap ass one so when it breaks I won't give a damn!!!!!
The mower was acting up at the end of last year but I thought that was just because it needed a new spark plug and oil change. Guess not. *sigh* My lawn isn't very big so I don't want to buy a big ass expensive mower. My neighbor has an electric one but dragging that cord around behind me was a pain to use and unless I have to, I'd just as soon use the old fashioned kind. ;)
