30-Day Writing Meme, stolen from
swankivy:
1. Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you've worked with and why.
This is tough, because every project is my favorite while I'm working on it. Which makes it difficult to be objective, because right now all I can see is the Tragedienne, and how much I love torturing Erik.
But. I will concentrate. For the sake of accurate answers to this meme.
So, probably Evangeline Gets On Everyone's Nerves. Easily the least-marketable thing I've ever writen, even counting some of my fanfiction, for the fact that it's an Alice In Wonderland type scenario in which our heroine gets on a bus, travels, and meets up with increasingly weird creatures for short periods of time, after which most of them disappear never to be seen again. There's no plot, per se, bar the fact that she's on that bus because she's trying to find and assassinate her ex-husband. It's also the most depressing thing I've written, and gets progressively more and more depressing as it goes on.
It also has probably the happiest ending of all my original projects.
I haven't finished it, not by a long shot. I started writing this thing during Hell Year, waaaaay back when, and had posted several pieces on the Other Blog as it was going. Then I stopped being so stressed out, put it down, and didn't pick it up again till I was depressed again. No matter how many times I stop/start with this, it always feels like I've stuck with it all along. It's the most writer-friendly project I've ever done.
Also it takes place in Ireland and has an invisible man modeled after Billie Joe Armstrong, so hey.
This should get me nearly to the end of Unboxed. Which... can you believe that? I can't. The year's nearly over. In a month I'll be ready to resume fandom operations as normal, and possibly even stop having guilt-ridden dreams where I'm forced to sit through episodes of Man Vs. Food.
Hmm. I have to think about this.
