Very professional-looking websites, and some gorgeous shots of you. I liked the photos taken outdoors in LA - your eyes are particularly striking in them. And good grief - do you think you have enough friends on your myspace page? :P

Glad your career is going so well for you. Just don't let yourself get worn down, and you shouldn't get sick. I'm a firm believer in handwashing on a near-obsessive level this time of year - I'm going on three years now without so much as a head cold.

Thanks!

Haha, many of my myspace "friends" are musicians or music groups. Although, I actually do know them or at least have seen them. And then you also have to consider how many of my friends and aquaintances have regular myspaces and music myspaces.

I'm working on that whole not-getting-worn-down thing. Its been a life-long struggle to get myself to not wear myself out. I'm getting better at conserving my energy. But it often seems like you can't become successful in this business unless you are expending the maximum amount of your energy.

I will take into account that whole handwashing thing. Good call.

why on earth are you reading the Making of Americans? on the one hand, it's a great book. on the other hand, it's pretentious, elusive, difficult, unnecessary for an understanding of Stein's work, and damn near 2000 pages --- my undergrad thesis advisor was like, "You really don't have to read it. You really, really don't."

The composer I met who is going to use me in his opera is basing the opera on The Making of Americans. Haha yeah I was originally planning on taking it along for the plane ride to and from Vienna but it was actually too heavy, seriously.

i'd just recommend looking it up online & reading some quotes from it that give you an idea of what it's like, because it is unending and relentless; once you've read 5 pages or so you've read it all.

RE: wearing down. Do what mom always said: Get plenty of rest, eat healthy food, exercise, seek out sunlight, and laugh and love often...

Thanks Kirsten! Ahhhh rest. Yeah, I need to get a little more of that. Exercise too. I need to get a new gym membership. Ah! That's what I can ask for for Christmahanakwanzika!

A HUGE shout out to you for doing what the 6 of us on Megan's super-filtered list couldn't do - stand by her and give her support when she most needed it. It's one thing to have friends only a Blackberry away, but it's quite another to have one standing there to lend immediate support.

Yay you!

Thanks. Ugh, it was SO obvious as soon as I met that guy that he was a total jerk. I'm glad I could help.
