Nursing...

I have NEVER had an easy time nursing. Parker wouldn't latch on at all, Peyton & Mabry latched with trouble, but it always ALWAYS hurt like the dickens... I called it "shards of glass". That's what it felt like they were sucking out of me. I blistered like crazy and cried all the time. Eventually, with Mabry, I became a sole-pumper because that didn't hurt as much... but it also wasn't as effective and I eventually dried up at 12 weeks. It was such an emotional hardship, especially with the level of PPD that I was going through with her.

But all of that has changed!!!

After a week of the same sort of troubles, I'm happy to report than Fin is the best little nurser! It doesn't hurt!! He can latch HIMSELF on sometimes without my help! What the heck? I didn't even know that was possible! He did that at church Sunday while I was getting the blanket over me. Next thing I knew, he was already nursing! Niiiice! I'm not saying that we won't have any more issues... but it sure SEEMS like we're out if the woods! And it's SO enjoyable! This is what I've seen other moms get to experience and it's been so painful to watch and not be able to share memories of with my own babies.

But now I can! :D
