Fleeting Moments Ch. 1

Dark brown eyes slowly opened, his vision blurred as he slowly regained some consciousness.  Blurred forms loomed around his body, shooting pains coming from his legs.  He moaned as he looked down, robotic limbs being attached to the stumps of his legs.  A flash.  He blinked and watched the figures disappear to reveal a black room, a man pounding on an iron door and yelling hoarsely into the eerie silence.  The man now lying on the bed allowed himself to focus fully on the one consumed with terror.

The shouting was stopped as he was suddenly launched from the door by an invisible force and he hit the wall rather harshly.  Crumbling to the floor, the body stayed rather still and the one on the bed forced himself to move from where he laid toward the other, kneeling by him and crying out at who he saw.

“J… JUNSU!” he screamed, gathering the man in his arms and clutching the unconscious form.  What had they done to him?  “Junsu?  Junsu… please… wake up…”  The younger cradled the other as tears slowly ran down his cheeks.  Who would do such a thing to his hyung?  He was too gentle to cause any trouble…

Changmin whimpered and looked down at the other, observing his untouched face.  He blinked at the sudden trembling and he looked at the other’s form.  That’s right… his arms.  Changmin lifted a sleeve of the long sleeved shirt and made a noise of surprise.

Robotic arms.  Just like his legs.

His breathing hitched as the arm shifted slightly and he looked to Junsu’s face, which was pressed into his neck.  He watched as the smaller man stirred and slowly opened his eyes, furrowing his brow as he squinted at the younger man.

“Cha… Changmin?” he whispered hoarsely, his hand reaching out and lightly touching his face.  “You… You’re ok…”  A warm yet weak smile slowly appeared on Junsu’s face, making the other glow in the dark room.  Changmin nodded and smiled slightly, pulling the other closer.  “How… did you… get here?”

“I… I don’t know..,” Changmin whimpered and nuzzled Junsu’s hair.  “I wanna go home… “  He felt arms gently wrap around him and he clung all the tighter, shaking in Junsu’s arms.  How did their roles switch?

Junsu said nothing as he stroked the other’s hair gently, watching as the young man sob into his shoulder.  He carefully lifted the other with his robotic arms and carried him to the bed, lying him down before being tugged into his arms.  He squeaked slightly but watched as the other clung to him before slowly seemingly passing out.  That was when he watched the other fade away slowly.

“Changmin…” Junsu whispered, smiling as the other escaped the hellhole.  Thank God he was alright.

Yet Changmin thought otherwise as he slowly stirred.  No Junsu.  Light in the room.  He sat straight up and threw off the covers, moving around swiftly.  He heard his feet pad against the floor and he looked down, blinking at the flesh that covered his mechanical legs.  It was as if he always had them.  He sighed before he tuned back to his task and pulled on some more suitable clothes… yet they looked a lot like the outfit in their “Triangle” MV.  Leaving the room, he started to wander, ignoring the people that whispered as he passed.  He had to find Junsu.  He had to…

His form slowed to a halt and he swayed before falling forward, his eyes slipping shut.  Why was he dizzy?  Arms caught him and he slowly opened his eyes to gaze upon a gentle yet mysterious face.

“Are you alright, Changmin-shhi?  We wouldn’t want you hurting yourself in your condition.  Please… let me take you back to your room,” the man stated, smiling and helping the other back.

“Who…” Changmin whispered, watching the man carefully.

“Just call me Rain.”  A brilliant smile was sent his way before lightning lit the heavens and thunder followed soon after.  The younger man jumped and looked up at the sky, suddenly noting the stormy appearance it held.  Remembering his hyung, he stiffened slightly, only to sag more, his body almost completely limp.

There were questions asked… ones he could not answer as he slowly passed out.  But he did not travel this time… his mind would not allow him.

Junsu cried out as the whip cracked down on his form.  Something was hissed at him… a language that made him scream and cover his ears.  His eyes were wide as they stared at nothing, dulled to the point where he was almost blind to the world he was really in.  The pain finally stopped and he was alone… or so he thought.

A cool hand rested on his shoulder and he flinched slightly, looking up and wanting to scream once more.  Yet as he opened his mouth, a canteen was pressed to his lips.

“Drink… I know you can’t talk…” the man stated softly.  He watched the young man gulp at the water, wincing slightly every time he swallowed.  Gasps were leaving him as he finished, the canteen slipping from his fingers as he started to crumble, but the man caught him, pulling him close.  The being stroked Junsu’s face gently before he leaned down, kissing a red mark on his neck.  A flow of green mist left his lips and traveled down the other’s body, erasing the pain and marks as if they were never there.  Watching the human relax, the being smiled before looking up.

His black eyes waited till Junsu fell asleep till he shifted into his true form.  He WAS Junsu… yet he wasn’t.  White eyes looked upon the other with slight pity as his all black appearance contrasted with the heavenly looks of the other.

“Gomene… Junsu… You were not supposed to be here…”

A/N: And here my mind has forced me to stop with the MinSu.  I know it isn’t much of an update but this will help me get a few more ideas out of the way and stuff.  I hope you like it even if it is only about 2.5 pages… *glances Sushi’s way and sweatdrops*  So please tell me what you think and if you believe I should continue!  Thanks again for waiting and reading! ^^
