Well, if the weather doesn't change suddenly enough around here, I don't--

...that's a hell of a lot of snow.

EDIT Wait. Wait, shit.

Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit. That is a hell of a lot of snow ( Read more... )

No sign of anyone near the fountain. I'm sure he took cover - the places of business seem to still be in operation, though hell if I can get any of the doors open piled high with snow.

...so he's either stuck in some random building somewhere, or he's buried under six feet of snow. Fantastic.

What about you? You better not still be out there.

Miss Evelynne. We are communicating over a computer.

I think you need to lay down.

...that never seems to register until someone tells me.

I think I need to find out what happened to him.

Nothing can be done tonight. The storm is too bad, and if he's out there, he's either dead, or alive. He will be just as dead or just as alive in the morning. If we end up needing to conduct a legitimate investigation into his disappearance, I'll need you alert and aware - stressing yourself into illness or not getting any sleep will make you scatterbrained and potentially hysterical; it won't help anyone.

...stop making sense. You're going to send me into a panic or something.

I swear, if he's dead...

If you keep this up I will be forced to offer you narcotics.

Narcotics aren't my kind of poison. I'm going to need a lot of whiskey and several parkas. And a rope as long as the city's diameter.

Evelynne, no.

...I'm not going to get any sleep tonight if I don't at least figure out if he's alive or not.

I probably would have stumbled over his corpse if he was dead.

Except there's enough snow out there to cover corpses, and it's a hell of a big city.

I'm almost accepting it as a fact that I'm going to go crazy at this rate.

You're already crazy if you're think you're going out. The storm is increasing with every moment and I barely made it back inside as it was. This is not to mention the psychotic rape-crazed murdering monster from the depths of hell that's taken to strolling about the city looking for women.

...that thing's half the reason why I need to know where he is.

Have I mentioned yet how much I hate this place?

Stay. Inside.

I need to find him. At least make sure he's alive. Or find out if he's dead.
