Alright.
Here's that update I promised. A lot has happened, but i'll stick to the major points (and mabe dabble in the small things in later entries).
Well, first off. I graduated from Bloomingdale (go me). I'm not all shrilly and thrilled like most kids are, so this isn't going to say much (it's also why I just hauled ass out of the place when ther ceremony was over).
I start at HCC the 23rd, then later on i'm going to USF. I got Bright Futures Scholarship, and it's paying for 100% of HCC tuition, and 75% of USF. On top of that, I recieved two other scholarships that together make $4,000. I got these sweeeeeet metals from the Education foundation for the scholarships, which makes for a nice reminder. So yeah, i'm good. Haha.
What the fuck, I can't find my graduation pictures (i'm all dressed up and shit).
One of my new cats is on my sholders. :) He lays/stands there and snuggles my face. Hehe.
But i'm all for looking forward. I'm a tad nervous about school, but a bit excited. Downside is, I have to go to school full-time (required of the scholarships), and i'm going to be working 3 days a week. So really, i'm only going to have one free day, if at all.
Speaking of work, I worked at Petsmart for about 2 months, and i'm now working at a pet hotel (far better). I don't have to deal with CUSTOMERS (which I have come to hate), and I get paid to play with dogs and cats and other animals. :) At Petsmart, there were many condenscending customers who were VERY rude to me about my hearing. Here's dialog I had with one.
"I'd like 50 goldfish." (That's what I thought he said.)
"50 goldfish, sir? I'm sorry, i'm hearing impaired." (I wear my hair up to showcast this.)
"1-5 (in that deliberate, slow metal-retarded voice). 15."
"You don't have to speak like that. Speak as you normally would; that only makes it worse."
Oh what a stupid fucker. Him and other people who do that need to get their skulls smashed in. It's as if when I say i'm hearing impaired, i'm saying "I AM MENTAL AND DEAF AND DUMB, PLZ TREAT ME LIKE SUCH."
Christ.
Well, that was crappy, but I hope it gives you some insight on my past 5 months. :)
