On the subject of this hole...
Okay. So. This hole, that I was talking about earlier? I wondered today if I could actually go down into it, perhaps walk around on the bottom. See, thing is that when I walk over it, I don't fall in, I just am there, completely over top of the hole. I haven't found a way to get into the hole itself, likely because the thought never occurred to me. It is very deep, and there seems to be no path to the bottom of it, or rope lying around near it. Not that there would be, really. It's in one of those places that everyone sees, but nobody brings rope to. Okay, so maybe most people have never been there, or somebody would've built a rickety bridge and filmed a cliché scene upon it already. But no bridge. And there's not one inside the hole, so one could not have fallen in just as the protagonist jumped to safety. No, this hole seems pretty well unexplorable. One can only sit atop it and watch, or at least as far as I know. Anyhow, I tried yesterday to drop a coin into this hole whilst standing over it, with success in dropping it. Because it couldn't sit or walk over he hole, it fell into it, spinning away, down into the hole that nobody brings rope to. I never saw it land, it just sort of went out of focs, then I couldn't find it. It landed on the bottom, I just can't see it. More importantly, I'll never know if it turned out heads or tails, which could be important in the long run.
