Someday, when I get my copy of the script to the same physical location as my computer (i.e. after the show closes, tomorrow), I'll have to go through and post some of my favorite thoughts/quotes from
Gross Indecency. Leave it to
kightp to find a story to direct as fascinating and powerful as this one. I get more from this show every time I watch it. (I can't imagine how powerful I would find it, if I weren't spending half of every show staring at the script anxiously awaiting my numerous sound cues.)
Have I mentioned that there's only two more performances? Tonight at 8. Tomorrow at 8. That's it. The moment the actors take their bows tomorrow night, the erase button gets pressed in their minds, and the lines start to go the way of all distant memories. A year from now, they'll only have the dim memories of having done a show about Oscar Somebody, Posing Something-or-other. ;)
But Seriously, Folks -- I doubt there's anyone who reads my journal and lives in the area, who hasn't seen the show yet -- but if you are such a person, don't miss your chance! This is a phenomenal show...
