Hail Horus!

Today, I am my user picture.

I think there is something beautiful in a change of mind from "I have to ride my bike to work today" to "I get to ride my bike to work today."

Today is positively energizing. This is so much of what I needed. Even for a day. I hope everyone is appreciating it. I don't want to say "this weather is perfect" because it's not. Rain, snow, cold, gray are "perfect" for this area because without them, we'd be fucked. But I love days like this.

Today I decided to bike to falafel in the loop. As much as I usually hate biking in the loop, it was wonderful. I love biking because it's one less box to be in. Sitting in a box in-between boxes makes me feel isolated. Being a part of the world and actually feeling the breeze without having to squint my eyes or tilt my head down made me feel like I was flying. Even in the loop where everything is usually sharp metal, crumbling concrete and dissatisfied faces. It's interesting to see so many people smiling about the sunshine.

"Horus' right eye had also been gouged out, which explained why the moon, which it represented, was so weak compared to the sun. It was also said that during a new-moon, Horus had become blinded and was titled Mekhenty-er-irty (he who has no eyes), while when the moon became visible again, he was re-titled Khenty-irty (he who has eyes). While blind, it was considered that Horus was quite dangerous, sometimes attacking his friends after mistaking them for enemies."
