Title: Now and Forever…いつまでも…
Author: Mayonaka no Taiyou/Unare Haineko
Pairing: [Juntoshi] Matsumoto Jun x Ohno Satoshi
Rating: R-ish, but NC-17 for this chapter.
Summary: This story follows Ayumu, a more or less normal child born in 2012, three years after the ending of ‘Kodoku kara Umareta Ai’ (which you can read
here). His parents, Jun and Ohno, are everything but ‘normal’ in their often unconventional attempts to deal with some of the challenges of parenthood as they try to ‘blend in’ with ‘normal people’.

Friday, April 24, 8:23 AM….
Daisuke was sitting on a chair in the middle of a semi-posh office at Host Club Nozoki. He was staring at a large flat screen monitor on the cherry wood desk while Kakia who sat on the desk itself, was busy talking on her headset. Daisuke was also accompanied by the presence of Kei, Reiya, and Gima. The seating arrangement was Kakia sitting on the desk in front of the four of them, Reiya (MatsuJun lookalike one of many) had taken the seat on the left and Kei (another MatsuJun lookalike) was sitting on the right-Gima (the Nino lookalike) had taken the seat next to Reiya and Daisuke (the Ohno lookalike) had taken the seat between Kei and Gima. Thus, the seating order facing Kakia was Reiya, Gima, Daisuke, and Kei.
“You want to talk to them?” Kakia asked. “Okay, hold on, boss.”
Kakia turned to the expectant copies and yanked the microphone out of its jack.
“Boss wants to talk to all of us,” she said, pointing to the flat screen which displayed an enlarged form of a mobile phone screen that read ‘CONNECTED TO user KITAGAWA-SAMA.’
Using the internet to do conference calling was nothing new; however, the boss that gave the orders never utilized the video chat. And when he had his minions gather in Kakia’s office, Daisuke knew that they were in for a lecture.
“Are they all here?”
“Yes,” replied Kakia.
“Kakia.”
“Yes, Kitagawa-sama?”
“So let me get this straight. Tsukishima was supposed to get more information from Ninomiya and used Matsuda to bait him. But what happened?”
“Boy. Answer the boss,” Kakia ordered staring at Daisuke.
“Ninomiya-san was at the restaurant watching. But when Kei and I were leaving the restaurant, we ran into this guy and his kid that looked like me,” Daisuke explained.
“But then wimp over here didn’t feel so good, so I had to take him home,” interrupted Kei.
“Did you send him back on a taxi?”
“He looked sick, so I took him back to my place,” shrugged Kei.
“Did Ninomiya follow you back?”
“No, he chased after Ohno Satoshi,” sighed Kei. “But I called him the next morning to tell him where his assistant was and he came down to look for him. We left a flier for him to find outside and that’s how he came to the host club. Sorry, boss, but it’s nearly nine….I should be heading to the office…”
“Alright, you can go, Matsuda. By the way, have you finished working on those special purpose entities that I asked you about?”
“I’ve already finished setting them up. This year is actually the last year you can use that loss carryforward for your main business as the law states that the cap is at seven years. I’ll funnel the rest of the debt into the SPE.”
“Can’t you do anything else?”
“I’ve already manipulated the inventory, receivables, and investments considerably. And well, we’re already playing with revenue recognition in ways we really shouldn’t be playing with it.”
“What about the liabilities?”
“That too.”
“Can’t you capitalize the expenses as costs or depreciate something?”
“I guess I could, but it might be more risky over time. I mean, those things that I did before would be harder to catch, but improper capitalization….Boss, you sign that report at the end of the year. If someone from the government actually comes and audits you, you could be busted for-“
“Matsuda, when I ask you if you can do something, all you have to answer is-“
“Yes, sir,” Kei bowed and disappeared through the back door.
“Wanibuchi.”
“Yes, boss,” Reiya answered now that he had become the focus of the conversation.
“What’s this with your encounter with Ninomiya and Ohno?”
“Well, that brat shows up and selects me to be his designated host. I know he’s here to pry, so I give him what he deserves.”
“You raped him then?”
“Well, I was raping him, but that guy, I tell you, boss, he’s sick.”
“He’s sick?”
“I was raping him and normally, I don’t care if people are enjoying it or not. As long as I get off and I’m getting paid, usually they’re happy to be raped and corrupted by me. But this Ninomiya bastard, he tried to make me think!”
“Oh, the horror,” muttered Kakia, rolling her eyes.
“He plays mind games, boss!” Reiya said, waving his hands about even though everyone knew that the boss could not see him. “He’s makes you question who you are. But it’s sick! He said something about some kind of fly that lays its eggs inside of a host caterpillar and it squirms as it’s being eaten alive….he’s messed up! He’s dangerous-“
“And then there was a code 13,” Kakia cut in. “Which I responded to right away, Kitagawa-sama.”
“Which you called for, correct, Wanibuchi?”
“Yes.”
“And what happened, Kakia?”
“I confronted Ninomiya and was planning to have him tortured and imprisoned for awhile, but the power was cut and he somehow escaped.”
“Escaped?”
“We tried to get the surveillance tapes, but we came up with nothing. We think he might have disappeared into one of the rooms and jumped out the window or taken the fire escape.”
Daisuke let a sigh of relief inside when he heard Kakia offer her hypothesis. He had been worried that he had been caught on tape helping Nino escape. He was relieved that someone had masked his involvement for the time being.
“You two LET him escape?!”
“My humblest apologies, Kitagawa-sama. I know that you were out of town and you entrusted this task to us. I am terribly sorry that we failed this mission-“
“Make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
“I will make sure it doesn’t. On a side note, I believe we may have also received the patronage of Ohno Satoshi.”
“Ohno…?”
“Yeah, Gima ran into him at one of the Kabukicho bars. He said he was looking for one of his customers, but he ran into Ohno instead,” Reiya said, lighting up a cigarette.
“And he brought Ohno to the club?”
“He spent the night with me. He’s like some sort of sex addict. I think we fucked like twelve times before he finally went home. Kakia had Gima take his wallet while we were fucking.”
“What did you find?”
“I sent the boy to stake out Ohno,” Kakia said, handing Reiya an ashtray for his cigarette.
“What did you learn?”
“Boy!” snapped Kakia, directing her attention to Gima.
“Um…! I waited at the address on that expired health insurance card we found in his wallet. But I didn’t see him. I think that was his parents’ house. They were out for the weekend and they came back on Monday.”
“What about Ohno?”
“All I was able to gather was that he doesn’t live there. But I did run into his son. That was the boy in the photo we copied out of his wallet.”
“He has a son…?”
“His name is Ayumu. He looks to be about three or four.”
“What is he like?”
“He’s outgoing, observant, pretty smart, speaks English…”
“Does he go to daycare or school?”
Reiya stood up and walked out mid-conversation when it was obvious that he was no longer the center of attention.
“It doesn’t appear that he does. He said that he has a teacher named Julie-sensei, a foreigner perhaps?”
“Why does the boy speak English?”
“He didn’t say. Perhaps his father is going abroad?”
“Ohno is going abroad?”
“For work?” asked Kakia. “Wouldn’t that be a breach of contract?”
“He wouldn’t dare break the terms of the contract. There must be another reason…”
“Would you like me to dispatch another person to watch Ohno and his son?” offered Kakia.
“Where’s Matsumoto?”
“We didn’t see any sign of him,” Kakia reported. “No one has had any recent contact with him. Why haven’t you dispatched anyone to keep tabs on him?”
“I can’t. Not with that damn lawyer of his always watching. He’s like a damn three headed guard dog.”
“Three headed?”
“That bastard is so smart, it’s like he has the intelligence of two men.”
“And what about the other head?”
“It stays awake while the other two are sleeping. I swear he’s always watching me. I don’t know what’s so special about Matsumoto, but that guy will go to great lengths to protect his interests. When I had to dissolve Matsumoto’s contract, I didn’t think that there would be a new law recognizing restraining orders in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Because of the increase in domestic violence, the 23 wards of Tokyo now recognize and severely penalize violations of restraining orders. I nearly got slapped with a one million yen fine last time I tried to hire a private investigator to tail Matsumoto.”
“But aren’t restraining orders generally meant for domestic violence issues?”
“That damn lawyer has me listed down for stalking and harassment-“
“You personally, Kitagawa-sama?”
“Me, my jimusho, and anyone employed by me otherwise. So if they trace anyone following Matsumoto within 500 meters to be affiliated with me or my jimusho in any shape or form, I get fined one million yen minimum. Under no circumstances are you to send anyone within one kilometer of his house. Do you understand me, Kakia?”
“Yes, Kitagawa-sama.”
“Does that mean that if I’m supposed to be following Ohno-san and Ohno-san suddenly contacts Matsumoto-san that I should back off?” asked Gima.
“Boy!”
“Yes. They are allowed to contact each other and if they are within close proximity of each other, back off. I don’t want Matsumoto’s damn lawyer all over my ass again. It’s bad enough that he managed to convince a judge that I’m infringing on Matsumoto’s freedom with my stalking and so-called harassment. I can’t be appealing this if I don’t want it to become public. That damn Miyazono. He’ll take everything public and I can’t be having that right now. So stay away from Matsumoto. Is that clear?”
“Yes, sir!” Gima and Daisuke said with enthusiasm.
“You are minions nothing more. My orders are absolute. You all know what will happen if you do not follow my orders, right. Gima! You need to take care of your younger sister, don’t you? Akari-chan, wasn’t it? Even though the government subsidizes her tuition, she still needs her room and board taken care of…”
“Yes, sir…”
Daisuke looked over at Gima who seemed to shrink into the corners of his seat.
He has a younger sister…?
“It must be tough having a blind younger sister…do you plan to send her to college as well?”
“She wants to go to a music school…” Gima said meekly.
“Then you better work hard and start being a little more aggressive as Ninomiya Kazunari. Your numbers are down. You should learn from Wanibuchi how to get your numbers up. You aren’t an idol. You work for a host club. If you can’t be more personably and sell your illusion, you better learn how to give better sexual favors. You don’t have to worry about your image. You just serve the customer. Whatever they want, you give them. Is that understood?”
“Yes, sir!”
“And when Kakia gives you special missions, you better do them well.”
“Yes, sir!”
“Tsukishima!”
“Yes, boss?”
“Good work at bringing Ninomiya here, but really, can’t you work a little more efficiently? The whole process from start to finish was sloppy and disorganized. We are not sloppy criminals! This is not petty crime. If you’re gonna work for me, you better do it right!”
“Right, sir? Isn’t what we’re doing wrong to begin with?” Daisuke ventured. “Isn’t it wrong for all of us copies to make money off of Arashi’s faces?”
“Boy! I’m sorry, Kitagawa-sama, this boy is just so thick-headed sometimes. You have to be specific with him. He’s on the slow side,” Kakia said, smacking Daisuke on the back of the head.
“Anyway, just learn to plan a little better than last time. I don’t want Ninomiya getting the wrong idea here. He’s a sharp one. He’ll hoard information and pretend he doesn’t know a damn thing. He’s always listening. Watch out, Tsukishima.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Just keep watching him and reporting any changes with him. Keep him away from the host club if you can. He’s bad for business.”
“Shall I assign someone else to keep an eye on the both of them?” asked Kakia.
“No. Ninomiya will definitely notice if he’s not already suspicious about Tsukishima. He’s a creature of the darkness himself. He’s been screwed by the world so many times, he’s practically immune to the pain. I’ve sent him to hell on a few occasions myself. If you hide something from him, he’ll look until he finds it. The only way to get him is to hide something in plain sight. That’s why my spy is in plain sight, right?”
“Yes…sir….” Daisuke said quietly, acknowledging the other’s dominance.
“Now, if you want to get your money for your pastry school, get moving and no more screw ups! Sell out Ninomiya’s secrets to me and we’ll have no problem. Dismissed!”
Click.
“Alright, you heard the boss,” Kakia said, turning off the monitor. “You two boys better do your jobs or the next time, you’re gonna be Reiya’s sex slave. Understood?”
“Yes, ma’am,” Gima and Daisuke bowed.

To be continued…! Yay!! Update!! I have returned to school (due to the unfavorable job market here) and things have been quite hectic. But this story has never been far from my mind. Actually, I’ve been working on the update for the past two and a half weeks, but just figuring out how all these pieces are gonna move has been quite a challenge. Plus, I had to rework some of the plans…so yes. This is the latest installment.
