Is tomorrow really the 30th? Time's flown by actually now that I think of it. In a really slow way. Morag can I start thinking about the holiday's now? December is just around the corner, and you said September was far too early. I think I'll start thinking about Christmas lights. They usually cheer me up quite a bit ( Read more... )

I think after a certian point they're just another day to be honest.. I don't particularly believe in birthdays to be honest.

You don't believe in birthdays? How does that work? Do you not believe in celebrating all anniversaries or just the anniversary of your birth?

I didn't do anything to be born, personally I think that mother's should be celebrated on their children's birthday. Then again my mother never understood that and didn't let me buy her something. Though I tend not to share this opinion and just partake in whoever's birthday it is because most people don't understand it.

Mothers are celebrated on Mother's Day. On the anniversary of one's wedding they don't celebrate the wedding planner. And mums aren't always deserving of celebration or aren't involved enough to warrant celebration but as long as we are alive we can celebrate our birthdays.

Some mother's do far more then other's I agree, such as my own. But one day isn't enough to stuff everything she does for me in a year. A wedding is the celebration of two people's lives emerging as one, not the party that was planned, so that isn't really the same.

I still don't believe in birthday's really, but like I said, I rarely share this information because so few people understand.

I don't know, mate. Maybe you're just rationalising because your mum seems to forget it. What I do know is that my mum doesn't deserve any sort of celebration on my birthday. She gets her own birthday and Mother's Day and Christmas and those other occasions. Plus, you can always be nice to her the rest of the year, but your birthday is your birth day, not your mum's. Unless you worn born on the same day, of course.

Like I said, I didn't do anything special on my birthday. It seems silly to celebrate something that has no personal accomplishment value.

You were born on your birthday. You got this far. Think of it as celebrating your life up until this point. That's something.

You're too much, Chase Trimble. Maybe this is more of an excuse for other people to recognize everything you've done for them.

You know I can't actually argue that, though I'd like to.
