Well, I wonder if you're not referring to someone entirely different than I am. The guy who played Steve the Pirate in Underdog: A Dodgeball Story, also played Wash on Firefly/Serenity.
He killed Buffy twice, too. He likes to kill people. He killed Wash and Book in Firefly even though there was a possibility that the show would get a second season. He doesn't care, he just tells his story. It's not necessarily a bad thing, either.
