Bored then Blood.

Work was pretty slow tonight, as well as uneventful. But, since I hate things being uneventful, my body decided to make it eventful. So, while straightening up a lane after a family left (cleaning the table, straightening the chairs, putting balls back, ect) I went to put the bumpers down. Normally, I just slide them down with my foot, because there's grips on the ends of them, making it easy for the sucky flimsy bumpers our bowling alley has to easy slide into place.
Well, one of the bumpers had said grip, but the other, did not. So, I get down, to move it aside with my had... And, well, somehow I managed to get my finger in a hinge, and I felt a pretty darn terrible pain. I calmly get up, and start walking fast back to the bar.
The pace got quicker, because the pain got sharper, and I started saying "oh my god, oh my god" and darted back towards the kitchen sink.
My dad followed with "what happend? what did you do?"
And, I immediatley started rinsing my finger under the faucet, to see blood mixed in the water. I looked at my finger, and I managed to slice it at the nail, and a little bit over. My dad walks back outside of the kitchen, since he hates seeing blood and anything gorey, so he could talk to me from there. I told him how I did it, and kept cringing because the water stung while hitting my open wound.
He started looking for band aids, even though I'm allergic, they'd be the more practical thing you'd have at a bowling alley, rather than gauze.
He found the very last one we had, made me try to dry off my finger, and put it on for me, since i was pretty useless at the time. He gave Angela money to go to Tops really quick and get more.
The blood went through that band aid pretty quick.
So when Angela gets back, she puts 2 band aids on it.
About 15 minutes later, those are soaked with blood too.
So, she put 2 more on it (after I took those off). And, you can still see the blood trying to creep through them.
Yeah, it still hurts pretty badly. And I have cleaned it out. It's throbbing too, so it's not a pleasant feeling, I'll tell you that.

I love how I have the ability to make uneventful happenings eventful.
