I just really hate writing in these things sometimes. but then again, I haven't exactly had much to write about either. I left school. Came home to West Side. Realized that not only is there not much of anything in the world to do here, but also that I don't like being in West Side.

No, Nick is not a reason I don't want to be here. Christ, he's a reason that I don't mind coming home every now and again. But Nick has had some issues. Apparently last year after he broke up with me he thought he was gay for a while, and the entire town knew about it because that's the way my town is. And now he's decided that he is 100% in love with me and not gay. And shockingly the whole town doesn't know about that.
He's first in his class. I'm wicked happy for him, both because he worked wicked hard to get to be valedictorian, and also because the girl who's second is a bitch who wins everything in the world, and it's nice to know that there's something she and her mother and sister can't rig.
Bethany (salutatorian) 's mother works with my mother. Recently, apparently, Mrs. Meserve (the mom) went on a tirade about how Nick "shouldn't" be first because he "didn't do any work" and because of a million other stupid reasons. THen my mom related one to me that made me more than pissed off. It made me furious.
"Then, Joh, Mrs. Meserve started talking about Nick as a person, and how 'he's gay, he's confused...' and how that means he shouldn't be valedictorian. So I snapped at her that you two were seeing each other [WE'RE NOT! at least, not yet] so he obviously wasn't gay. Her response was 'AGAIN?!' I could have killed her"
SHE COULD HAVE KILLED HER?! I'm sorry but I am ready to!!! I don't understand several things about that little statement.
1).HOW DID SHE KNOW HE THOUGHT HE WAS GAY?! I mean, how did that become public town knowledge, how did the world suddenly find that relevant, how the fuck did that become broadcast to the world?!
2).HOW DARE SHE BRING THAT UP IN FRONT OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW HIM?! How dare she bring it up at all, but especially at work in front of people who don't know him and shouldn't be privy to that sort of information!? That shows no class, no tact, and no brain.
3).WHY THE FUCK DOES IT MATTER?! I mean...Last year's salutatorian (my ex-boyfriend as well, I might add) is gay! But because he's who he is, he can do no wrong. But now, Nick...apparently having thought you were gay means that you now don't have a brain and can't be allowed to be first in your class. Heaven forbid we live in a town that allows gay kids to be first in their class, where they rightfully belong. I think it should be stopped. NEVER
this town makes me so sick. I just want to throttle people. I can't believe that things like that actually happen, that they're actually said, by a TEAACHER in a NURSERY SCHOOL!! I mean, supposing a kid heard her, and asked what "gay" meant, and figured out that their teacher thought it was a "bad" thing, so they grew up thinking gay is a bad thing!!! That's an awful injustice, and if you work in a school, you should watch your fucking mouth! NOt to mention that if you are a bigot you should keep your shit to yourself. I just cannot believe that she thinks it's OKAY to discuss someone's private, personal business in front of people. She makes me sick.
