So, on Friday we went to Stonehenge. We got there by bus, and by the time we finally reached our destination, the rain was pouring and the wind tried to break the umbrellas. The weather was disgusting, really. But still the place was impressive, though not so great as I had expected. After that we went to Salisbury. It's a town with a famous cathedral in Gothic style. It looks quite big, though we haven't been inside because of high entrance fee. Nearby there is a statue of Madonna walking ( and it's not a singer ). We also visited some shops with many interesting things sold there. There is a small river in this town with clear water and the fish swimming in it. On the square near that river we spotted a huge crowd of ducks. They looked as usual ducks, only bigger and fatter, and some of them looked strange: they were black and tall. The ducks attacked us in search of food. One of them has biten my finger, but it hasn't been painful. We were feeding them with white bread and looked at them as they were fighting for it. Then we went to another town where, as we were told, the first capital of England had been situated. We saw an old medieval castle, where the Round Table of King Arthur was hanging on the wall. White doves were flying in the yard of the castle. It is not often you visit the real medieval castle!
On Saturday I went to London. That was when I met Alex, that's his name. He had sent me his picture, but unfortunately I couldn't put it here, although I tried to. We met at the Oxford street. He gave me the magazine with Alcazar on the cover and said :"Don't look at the last pages." Of course I looked there and saw gay porn advertisements, with pictures! Then he showed me different music shops situated in the district of Soho, but there was nothing about AoL there. When the rain started to pour again, we walked together under his umbrella. It was so cool. At last I ended up buying two Alcazar singles. I was late for the bus, as the metro is so slow here, and had to take a taxi. That costed me a lot of pounds ( throw marks, or pounds, or rubels :), but it was the last bus.
Next day, that was Sunday, we went to Windsor, that our teachers called Winsdor. They are always making awful mistakes in English a little pupil wouldn't make. I'm glad they don't teach me English. Listening to their English makes my ears fade :) The weather was quite good. Englismen told me they have four seasons, all in one day. They are always kidding. The queen was in the castle and I even saw her go out, though far away. In the castle there was a collection of pictures, coronation items, Queen Mary's Dolls House and a lot of rooms with arms, china, beautiful furniture. That's what made me remember our beautiful palaces in St. Petersburg. They are so nice. Then I went to another side of the river Thames, that also flows in that town, to see Eton, which is the famed English College. Not as famous as Buckinghamshire College, of course :) As you have probably guessed, it is my English humour :) It is very contagious and I will be kidding like Englishmen soon. In the shop I visited in that town, I found a book that contained all singles that had ever topped UK charts. AoL had 4 singles there! That made me really proud of them, and not for the first time :)
On Monday I went to London again and visited the Museum of London, that is really very interesting. In the yard it has an ancient water-lifting mashine that is unique and was used by Romans. London is a "city built by Romans", just like Paris ( it's actually from Alcazar's song :). On Sunday evening I went to the bar of our University College. There was a huge TV screen showing videos in hip-hop style and a lot of black people everywhere. I watched for a while, but then it made me want to sleep and I left. I got to know an English boy that lives on our campus, he is obsessed with sex, he put a poster of a woman, almost naked, in the kitchen. Sometimes I drink beer with him. Today we had two lectures. Then I went to see the Alcazar video on CD ( though I have the same video at home ), to listen to the songs and also to see the Bingo show with AoL that I have on CD now. The new Alcazar remixes are so cool, and the videos are so glamorous.
