(no subject)
So I'm a college graduate. My offical graduation was Saturday but I've been done since Decemeber and I probably won't get my diploma in the mail until June. That's right, in the mail. I didn't walk. Didn't really care to and I don't regret not going. However it is weird that people don't seem to recognize it unless you have that stupid cardboard hat and cheap polyester gown. Oh well.
I also got my driver's liscence this week. Very exciting. Once I get the real one in the mail, I'm going to have to celebrate by having someone drive me to bar to get a drink. I'm getting insurance tomorrow. Then my car needs new brakes, a battery, and to be registered. Loads of fun.
In other news, Patti Lupone is a diva bitch. She did a show at the Zeiterion where I work and the entire day was a nightmare. She wouldn't use our cyc because there was a water stain on it. She wouldn't stay in the star dressing room because of the air freshener in the bathroom. She yelled at the piano tuner right before he was about to tune the piano. She refused to appear the reception that was planned to her because she "didn't know anything about it" even though it was in her contract. And she was rude to the people who paid extra to attend the reception. And she sang "Ladies Who Lunch" and I think that Natalie sang it better than she did. All in all, not a good way to end the season.
I still haven't heard from any of the places that I applied for jobs at. It's becoming beyond frustrating. Especially at this one theatre where I've interviewed with the Artistic Director and the Production Manager and they still haven't so much as sent me an e-mail to let me know either way, even though they said they would call a week ago. I'm getting mad at them. But...ya. That's it.
