Good News and Bad News
The bad news is the most recent but I'll give that up first as is usually the preferred way to go about things. My grandfather passed away yesterday. We knew it's been coming for a really long time but it still sucks. He's been living, if you can even call it that, for the past four years in a Veteran's hospital nursing home type place. He was in the Navy and suffered from night terrors. He broke his hips and had been bed riden for at least a year now because he's both too stubborn and too frail to go to physical therapy. He was a good man though and nothing but nice to us. We'll miss you grandpa. The wake is on Sunday and the funeral is on Monday. I'm hoping he gets a Navy funeral and not a Catholic one. It's what he would have wanted.
Ok, the good news. I got my driver's permit!! I'm not longer the lamest of lame kids. I've been driving about 4 times so far and I feel alot better about it than when I was 17. So maybe, hopefully, but not pushing it, I'll have my liscence by the end of the summer.
Other good news. We got a puppy! He is the cutest thing you've ever seen and he does the funniest things. He's a lab/shepard mix, we think. He's three months old but is already house and crate trained. We named him Dylan. If I take pictures I'll post them do you can all see. Definately my sister's dog though. Whenever she goes upstairs and the gate is up so he can't, he wimpers. He follows her everywhere, except when she's playing basketball, he's scared of the ball. I think is has a foot fetish as he already ate one of my shoes and he's always licking everyone's feet.
In other news, Cats is over, my boss is getting on my nerves, I finally saw Pirates, I may be back up in Salem next week sometime. That is all.
