My behavior has changed dramatically in the past two weeks. I feel calm, collective and more curious than ever. Everyone I talk to feels sorry for my loss from Katrina, but it's OK. I'm one of the few who financially made out ahead which is beside the point. It's ironic that such personal growth could come from a travesty. Not to regurgitate something cliche, but I feel liberated from my personal affects. All I need is a modest home in a decent neighborhood, friends, and family.
