Oh, England!

Last night was a blur of cookies and pizza and lemons and karaoke, but I only participated in two of these four things. Bety and I sat up listening to gumbo being made while we contemplated whether or not it's acceptable to wake someone up when you're sleeping at her house and she is still sleeping but we have to go soon! We decided yes.

And I love Ashley for protecting me from The Amityville Horror and introducing me to Shaun of the Dead. And having quiet pets. We had a great time.

Tomorrow, at a Lebanese deli, Alicia and I will discuss Breakfast at Tiffany's (the movie) and how we've never read it (the book) but we already know it's our favorite. I'll restrain myself from ordering rose water just because I'm in love with Arab culture, because I won't finish it. I know I won't.

I am looking at a salt shaker shaped like a windmill. It has no accompanying pepper shaker, and I feel like it's lonely. So it sits on my dresser next to the tiny cottage for company.
